Citizens of Cairns city of Australia’s Queensland state are striving to recover from the destruction that ex-tropical cyclone Jasper has dealt in the last eight days. Many residents empty their damaged furniture and clean the mud off their houses.
The cyclone has not lost its power in far-north Queensland and is expected to intensify again on Christmas Day.
