Sparks from electric wires ignited 100 acres of stubble and wooded area in Çorlu, Tekirdağ, Turkey. Sparks from electrical wires allegedly caused a fire in the wheat field. Firefighters were called after farmers in the area noticed the fire. The fire was extinguished before it spread to the cultivated fields.
The owner of the field, Fatih Cin, who stated that he was sad because his field was burned, said, “Thankfully, our cultivated wheat field did not burn. We survived the incident with the burning of the wheat stalks in the field,” he said.
