Following the second round of the Presidential elections held in Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the candidate of the People’s Alliance, was elected as the new President of the country. Following the announcement of the results, President Erdoğan made a speech in front of 320 thousand people from the Presidential Palace in Ankara.
“I would like to express my gratitude to each and every member of my nation who have made us worthy of the responsibility of governing the country. I would like to thank all of my citizens who stood up for their will and proved the strength of our democracy by going to the polls in Türkiye and abroad, regardless of which party or candidate they chose on May 14 or May 28.”
