Record-Breaking Rainfall from Typhoon Doksuri Devastates Beijing

Beijing, the capital of China, witnessed record-breaking rainfall, the heaviest in 140 years, due to Typhoon Doksuri. The continuous downpour over four days caused extensive flooding, affecting around 44,600 people and leading to the evacuation of 127,000 people in Beijing. The floods claimed 20 lives across Beijing and Hebei province. Furthermore, the rainfall in Hebei exceeded the six-month average, affecting 134,000 people in the city of Zhuzhou.
