A fire broke out at around 4:00 in the morning in a storage and recycling facility in the Evrenos District of Manisa, Türkiye. The fire, which started as the chemicals in the facility ignited, was partially brought under control after about 4 hours. Cooling efforts continue.
Due to the explosion of the barrels that contained toxic chemicals, chemicals were spilled on the roads outside the facility and caused a bad smell. Worried that chemicals would pollute the air, authorities frequently checked the air quality.
