Reformist Candidate Pezeshkian Leads Iranian Presidential Race

According to the unofficial results of the 14th term Iranian presidential election, reformist candidate Massoud Pezeshkian is leading the race with 43.5 percent of the votes. Meanwhile, conservative candidate Said Celili comes in second with 37.7 percent of the votes.

The Council of Guardians of the Constitution decided to hold the presidential elections after the death of President Ibrahim Raisi in a helicopter crash on May 19.
