The tensions and explosions in the Donbass Region in the east of Ukraine have caused great panic in the people of the region. A Donetsk resident said: “We were very worried all night long. Women and children gathered. All night long we thought about whether to go or not. My mother and I waited to see if we would be evicted. In the morning they take us from Khartsyzsk to Uspenka and from there to the Rostov border,” she said. Preparations were made in the city of Rostov for the reception of refugees by Russia. 8 train services were put between the cities of Rostov and Donetsk.
While Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the provision of social assistance and financial aid of 10 thousand rubles to all civilians who arrived in Rostov, Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitriy Peskov said, “President Putin gave instructions on providing aid to refugees from Donbass. We are following the situation closely,” he said.
