Restoration of Three Historical Monuments in Bitlis Underway

The Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism is restoring three key historical landmarks in Bitlis: Hüsrevpaşa Hamam, Hazo Hanı, and Hacı Begiye Mosque. The Bitlis Regional Directorate of Foundations aims to preserve these structures according to their original designs, with Hazo Hanı and Hacı Begiye Mosque set to be completed by the end of 2024, and Hüsrevpaşa Hamam by 2026.

Regional Director Ali Osman Ayan stated that these restorations are part of a broader urban transformation project in the city, with a total cost of approximately 80 million TL ($2.300.000). The project has been approved by the Van Cultural Heritage Preservation Regional Board, ensuring that the work adheres to scientific and artistic standards.
