Following the Labor Party’s overwhelming victory in the early general elections held yesterday in England, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said in a press statement in front of the prime minister’s residence at 10 Downing Street that he would resign from Conservative Party. Stating that he is aware the disappointment of the voters and is is taking the responsibility for the defeat, Sunak said that he would meet with King Charles and submit his resignation and wished success to the country’s new prime minister, Labor Party leader Keir Starmer.
