Houses in Yeniköy village, Artvin’s Yusufeli district, were damaged when rocks and soil fragments slid down the slope. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, though several houses were affected. Footage captured the moment of the rockfall on a mobile phone camera.
Cemil Aydın, a resident whose house was damaged, expressed concern, stating, “We’ve been staying with neighbors for a month due to frequent rockfalls. This area is prone to landslides, making it unsafe to stay at home.”
