Roger Waters Supports Colombian President’s Gaza Stance

Roger Waters, the renowned British musician and lead singer of Pink Floyd, was welcomed by President Gustavo Petro in Bogota, Colombia’s capital, during his visit for a concert. During their meeting at the Presidential Palace, Casa de Narino, Waters gifted his autographed guitar to Petro’s youngest daughter, Antonella. The duo concluded the meeting by unfurling a large “Palestine” flag and posing for photographs.

The Colombian Presidency’s statement highlighted Roger Waters’ commendation of Petro’s resolute position against the Gaza genocide. Waters also urged President Petro to spearhead efforts in front of the International Court of Justice, the UN’s judicial body, to halt the ongoing violence in Gaza.
