Ruang Volcano Erupts Again in Indonesia’s North Sulawesi

The Indonesian Volcanology and Geological Disaster Mitigation Center (PVMBG) reported that Ruang Volcano in North Sulawesi erupted, spewing lava and ash, prompting the escalation of the alert level from 3 to 4. This eruption led to the suspension of all operations at Sam Ratulangi International Airport, with the airport expected to remain closed until noon tomorrow. Additionally, thousands of residents were evacuated from their homes following the volcano’s previous eruption two weeks ago.
