Russia and North Korea Sign Strategic Partnership in Pyongyang

Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un met in Pyongyang, signing a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement. Kim pledged “full and unconditional” support to Russia, while Putin extended an invitation to Kim to visit Moscow. Kim welcomed Putin at Pyongyang International Airport, expressing pleasure at their reunion since last year’s meeting at Russia’s Vostochny Cosmodrome. The leaders traveled to the Kumsusan State Guest House for a “friendly” discussion. Today, an official ceremony took place at Kim Il Sung Square, where Putin and Kim greeted soldiers and citizens, who enthusiastically welcomed them with flags and flowers.
