Russia targeted civilian settlements and a maternity hospital in the city of Jitomir, 120 kilometers from Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv. Windows and doors were shattered, and the building was partially damaged. Zhitomir Mayor Sergey Suhomlin made a statement regarding the incident. In the video statement he published, Suhomlin said, “Civilian settlements and hospitals were hit just now. The windows and doors of the hospital were damaged. The number of people killed and injured in the incident is being clarified. Teams are working at the scene. It will not be a calm night.”
