A Russian attack on the coastal city of Odessa in southern Ukraine has left at least ten people injured, including two children. The overnight bombardment caused extensive destruction across the city center, heavily damaging residential buildings, a local hotel, and various other civilian facilities. Emergency responders fought a prolonged battle to extinguish a major fire that broke out in one of the impacted structures following the strikes. Describing the ongoing assault on the region’s infrastructure, local military official Serhiy Lysak stated that the city had endured an “extremely difficult night.”
