By order of Russian President Vladimir Putin, an exercise was carried out involving nuclear deterrent weapons, including land, sea, and air elements in Russia. In the exercise, the Yars intercontinental ballistic missile was launched from the Kura Test Site in Russia’s Kamchatka Region, and the Sineva ballistic missile was launched from a nuclear-powered submarine in the Tula Region. Additionally, a Tu-95-type bomber, which took off with cruise missiles, struck targets in the Barents Sea. Putin participated in the nuclear exercise, which was managed by the Russian National Defense Control Center, via a video conference.
