Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov condemned Israel’s attacks on Syria and its activities in the annexed Golan Heights, calling them destabilizing. “These actions do not contribute to the stabilization of the already fragile situation in Syria,” he said during a press conference.
Peskov highlighted Russia’s past efforts to combat terrorism in Syria since 2015 but noted that further steps depend on the Syrian government. “Russia completed its mission at that point, and now we must proceed based on ground realities,” he added.
