The Russian army carried out an airstrike on the city center of Kherson, Ukraine, from which it withdrew back in November. Anton Gerashenko, Advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, announced that 8 people were killed and 58 injured. Some residences and administrative buildings were damaged, while some vehicles on the roads were scrapped.
Emphasizing that there are no military facilities in the region, President Volodymyr Zelensky shared images from the location and said, “This is not sensitive content — it’s the real life of Kherson” on twitter. Describing the incident as a terrorist attack, Zelensky said that it is terrorism, intimidation and killing for pleasure and that the world must see and understand what kind of evil Ukraine is fighting.
