Russia says 771 Azov militants surrendered in Mariupol

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue the special military operation in Ukraine. In the last 24 hours, 771 Azov nationalist unit militants have surrendered at the blockaded Azovstal plant in Mariupol. Since May 16, a total of 1,730 militants have surrendered, with 80 injured. All those in need of inpatient treatment are being treated in medical facilities in the Donetsk People’s Republic in Novoazovsk and Donetsk, according to Russian Ministry of Defense Spokesperson Igor Konashenkov.

During the operation, 172 Ukrainian aircraft and 125 helicopters were destroyed, as well as 942 unmanned aerial vehicles, 313 anti-aircraft missile systems, 3,158 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 395 multiple launch rocket systems, 1,562 field artillery and mortars, and 3,026 units of special military vehicles, Konashenkov added.
