Russia sends cargo ship to ISS

The Russian Federal Space Agency announced that the Soyuz-2.1a rocket carrying the Progress-MS-24 cargo spacecraft was successfully launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan at 04:08 local time. The spacecraft, which carries approximately 2.5 tons of cargo containing 1,535 kilograms of equipment, 500 kilograms of fuel, 420 liters of drinking water, experimental setups, food, clothing and medical supplies, is expected to arrive at the International Space Station in 2 days and settle in the Zvezda module.

Russia launched its third Progress MS vehicle into space this year.
