Russia targeted a school with a history of 100 years in the Ukrainian city of Luhansk. After the Russian attack, the school was badly damaged. “It was one of the best educational institutions in Luhansk. After the bombardment, a fire broke out and more than 100 years of artifacts were destroyed. The school was built at the end of the 19th century. The students of this place were placed in good places with high scores. We will use all our strength to repair the school,” said Luhansk Governor Sergey Gayday.
Yana Goncherenko, a graduate of the school spoke about the incident, saying, “It was founded more than 100 years ago by the Belgians. It was one of the top 100 schools in the country. It saw 2 world wars and resisted the 2014 invasion, but was destroyed in 2022 by the unworthy.”
