Russia to conduct Baltic Sea Exercise in Retaliation to NATO

In response to NATO’s exercise in the Baltic Sea, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced their own exercise in the same region, lasting until June 15. The statement highlighted Vice Admiral Vladimir Vorobyov’s leadership and the participation of Baltic Fleet units, including various warships, boats, and support ships. Additionally, 3,500 personnel and 25 aircraft were involved in the exercise. The main objective was to enhance fleet coordination and readiness for combat situations.

Furthermore, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that the Pacific Fleet had commenced exercises in the Sea of Okhotsk and the Sea of Japan. Over 60 warships and support ships, around 35 seaplanes, and more than 11,000 personnel were participating in this exercise conducted by the Pacific Fleet.
