Russia has decided to withdraw its troops from the city of Kherson, the only regional capital it has annexed from Ukraine. Sergey Surovkin, the commander of Russia’s troops in Ukraine, presented a report to Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu on the activities of the Russian army in Ukraine. Acknowledging that they had problems especially in the attacks carried out by the Ukrainian army in the Kherson region, Surovkin said, “We propose to establish a defensive line on the left bank of the Dnipyr River. This is not an easy decision, but we will save both the lives of our soldiers and the combat capabilities of our troops. The maneuvers of our troops will also take place as soon as possible. “
