Russia launched an attack on the city of Lviv in western Ukraine in the morning hours with drones and hypersonic missiles. Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovy announced that 7 people, including 2 children and 1 baby, lost their lives in the attack.
It was also reported that Russian missiles were targeted by air defense systems, and 5 people were injured as a result of debris from destroyed missiles falling on apartments in Kryvyi Rih.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the attacks would be responded to and reiterated his calls for Ukraine to establish more air defense systems so that it can carry out its own long-range missile attacks and protect itself.
