Two people were killed and eight injured in a Russian attack on Kyiv involving ballistic missiles and drones, while six people died in a strike on a vegetable warehouse in the Kharkiv region. Ukrainian police said explosions were heard across Kyiv, damaging nine homes, a post office, warehouses and dozens of vehicles in three districts, while a maternity hospital was also affected. President Volodymyr Zelensky said civilian infrastructure, residential buildings, a maternity hospital, energy facilities and logistics sites were among the main targets, adding that about 60% of the ballistic missiles launched at Kyiv were intercepted. Ukraine’s Air Force said Russia used 282 drones along with an unspecified number of hypersonic and ballistic missiles and other weapons in the overnight attacks. One more person was killed in the southern port city of Odesa.
