Russian Bomber Crashes in Siberia

A Russian Tupolev Tu-22M3 strategic bomber crashed in the Siberian region of Irkutsk during a routine training flight. According to the Defense Ministry, the unarmed aircraft went down while making its descent for a landing. Fortunately, the crew successfully ejected using parachutes and escaped unharmed as an investigation into the crash begins. Notably, local media reports indicate the bomber was stationed at Belaya Air Base, a facility recently targeted in Ukraine’s large-scale “Operation Spiderweb” drone strikes.
