Three people were killed and three others injured in a Russian drone attack overnight in the Zaporizhzhia region of southeastern Ukraine, regional authorities said. Governor Ivan Fedorov said Russian forces carried out 841 attacks on 34 settlements in the region over the past 24 hours. Ukraine’s emergency services reported one building was destroyed and several others damaged, while the air force said 84 of 105 drones launched by Russia were shot down.
In southern Ukraine, Oleh Kiper said a separate Russian attack caused a major fire at an industrial facility in the port city of Odesa, with no casualties reported. He added that the death toll from Tuesday’s earlier attack in the region had risen to four.
