Russian Humanitarian Aid Reaches Karabakh Amidst Transport Delays

Russia sent a humanitarian aid truck to Armenians in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan under a joint cooperation agreement with the Azerbaijani Red Crescent and the Russian Red Cross. The truck entered Azerbaijan on September 9 through the Agdam-Askeran road after a brief delay in Berde. Meanwhile, two Azerbaijani aid trucks with 40 tons of flour have been stuck at a Russian checkpoint on the Aghdam-Khankendi road since August 29 due to opposition from the Armenian administration in Karabakh. Azerbaijan is willing to facilitate transportation through the International Committee of the Red Cross at the Lachin border crossing point.
