Russian Scientists Successfully Cultivate Watermelons in Antarctica

Russian scientists have successfully cultivated watermelons in the world’s coldest place, Antarctica’s Vostok station, under a project called “Rastenia”. The feat was achieved in a specially constructed greenhouse over 103 days. The project provides not only scientific value and fresh produce, but also has a positive impact on the emotional well-being of polar researchers stationed in harsh conditions.
