Russian Soyuz rocket bearing letter Z launches into orbit

The Russian Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos) launched the Soyuz 2.1a rocket for the Russian army from the Plesetsk Space Base in Russia’s Arkhangelsk Region. The letter “Z” used by Russian troops during the operations in Ukraine was seen on the Soyuz 2.1a rocket in the launch followed by Roscosmos President Dmitriy Rogozin, while a short ceremony was held at Plesetsk Space Base before the rocket was launched.

The rocket, which was sent to establish communication between naval ships and reconnaissance aircraft in the Northern Sea Route region, will start operating once it reaches its orbit in space, according to reports. With the satellite sent by Roscosmos, commercial communication activities between Siberia and the Far East are planned.
