Russian strategic bombers flew over the Bering and Okhotsk seas

Russia issued a statement after NATO’s annual nuclear deterrence exercise, Steadfast Noon, began yesterday. The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that two Tu-95 MS strategic bombers with nuclear capability are flying over the Bering and Okhotsk seas, saying, “Two long-range Tu-95 MS strategic missile carriers carried out planned flights over the neutral waters of the Pacific Ocean, the Bering and Okhotsk seas.”

The flight of Russian strategic bombers in critical areas was interpreted as a threat to NATO during the nuclear military exercise initiated by NATO.
