Russian Submarine Fires Kalibr Missiles in Sea of Japan Drill

A Russian Pacific Fleet submarine, “Ufa,” launched Kalibr cruise missiles at sea and coastal targets during an exercise in the Sea of Japan, the Russian Defense Ministry reported. The submarine secretly reached the designated area before the drill, hitting a surface target and a coastal target in the Khabarovsk region from over 1,000 kilometers away. The 74-meter-long Ufa, known for its stealth capabilities, joined the Russian Navy in November 2022.
