Russia’s Lavrov Blames US for Palestinian Crisis at Eurasia Conference

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, speaking at a conference in Minsk, Belarus, blamed the US administration for the deteriorating situation in Palestine. He criticized Washington’s attempts to monopolize the Middle East peace process and emphasized that their policies have caused conflicts and upheaval in various regions, including Iraq, Libya, Syria, Yemen, Sudan, and Palestine.

Lavrov called for an immediate ceasefire and a resumption of negotiations for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, a promise unfulfilled for 75 years. He also expressed concern about the USA’s efforts to expand its influence into the South Caucasus and Central Asia while calling for an end to the worsening situation in the Middle East and condemning actions that violate international humanitarian law.
