Russian Security Council Secretary Sergey Shoygu met Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Shia Sudani in Baghdad to discuss strengthening bilateral ties. Sudani highlighted the importance of cooperation amid regional tensions and urged UN Security Council members to support Middle East stability. He also called for an end to Israeli attacks on Gaza, warning they threaten global peace.
Shoygu conveyed President Vladimir Putin’s greetings and welcomed Iraq’s participation in next month’s Arab-Russian Summit in Moscow.
