Due to the heavy fog and air pollution in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Sarajevo administration called on residents to keep their stay in the open air as short as possible. Authorities warned citizens, especially the elderly, children, pregnant and chronically ill ones, against air pollution, and advised them to wear protective masks in open areas.
Sarajevo was ranked third in the list of cities with the highest air pollution in the world as of noon, according to the data shared by the Switzerland-based air quality technology company IQAir.
