A total of 3 people were killed and 17 others injured in the attack carried out by Russia on the children’s hospital in Mariupol, Ukraine, yesterday. “I’m absolutely sure they know about this hospital, and this is the third hospital in Mariupol that they destroyed,” Deputy chairman of the Minister Sergei Orlov said. Orlov stated that a 300-bed hospital that treats corona virus patients, along with a blood collection center, was rendered unusable by artillery fire the previous day. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also accused Russia of committing war crimes for the attack on the hospital.
Satellite images show the destroyed buildings and homes in the region, where extensive damage of civilian infrastructure can be seen.
