Scores of Animals Killed in Bangkok Market Fire

 

A devastating fire erupted early this morning in the pet section of Chatuchak Market, one of Bangkok’s largest markets. Over a thousand animals, including dogs, cats, birds, hamsters, and reptiles, perished in the blaze. Firefighters managed to extinguish the fire within half an hour. Approximately 100 shops were damaged, but no human injuries were reported. Animal lovers expressed their distress over the incident and the potential closure of the pet section in the popular market.
