The snow sculptures made at Sarıkamış Ski Center, representing the 60,000 Turkish soldiers who froze to death in Sarıkamış during the war with the Russian Caucasian army in the Sarıkamış district of Kars in 1914, have been completed. The sculptures, made by 9 people by transporting 200 trucks of snow from a distance of approximately 15 kilometers, will be opened to visitors today.

A total of 78 thousand Turkish soldiers and 20 thousand Russian soldiers died in the Sarıkamış Operation, which was carried out in World War I and ended unsuccessfully for the Turkish army.
