The 7.7 magnitude earthquake that occurred in Turkey’s Kahramanmaraş province caused loss of life and destruction in the region. Many buildings were destroyed, especially in the northwest of the country. While houses and shelters were destroyed in Sarmada and Atarib districts, rescue efforts to save those under the rubble continue intensively in Idlib.
Additionally, the Syrian Ministry of Health announced that at least 326 people were killed and 1,042 were injured.
