The Mexican Secretary of the Navy (SEMAR) announced the death of Frida, the hero dog who saved the lives of 12 people and was well-known for her search efforts, particularly after the September 19, 2017, earthquake. Frida died as a result of old age, according to the Secretary.

Frida, who took part in the operations to rescue those trapped under the rubble in many Latin American countries, including Mexico, saved the lives of 12 people and discovered the bodies of 43 others.
