Search Resumes for 18 Missing in Girne Ferry Sinking

Search and rescue teams have launched a second day of intensive operations to find 18 people still missing after a ferry capsized off the coast of Girne, Nortnern Cuprus. While the tragic accident already claimed multiple lives on its first day, emergency crews are expanding their sweep of the area. Rescue boats and aerial support units are currently scouring the sea surface and surrounding coastlines for any signs of the missing passengers. Vowing to maintain the momentum, authorities confirmed that the hunt for survivors will continue “as long as weather and sea conditions permit.”
