Second meeting of European political community starts

The second meeting of the European Political Community (EPC), led by the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, has commenced in Moldova with the participation of leaders from 27 EU member countries and 20 non-member countries.

During the welcome statement, President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, addressed the Russia-Ukraine war. Reiterating the demand for warplanes from Western countries, Zelenskiy stated that he is working on organizing a summit to discuss the peace proposals he had previously presented. Zelenskiy said, ‘We support Moldova and its people in integrating into the EU. You supported our people and refugees who left the country in the first days of the war, and we will never forget that. Our future is in the EU. Ukraine is also ready to join NATO,’ he said.

At the meeting, President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, and Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, will meet. Additionally, Charles Michel, President of the European Council, will participate in the meeting. French President, Emmanuel Macron, and German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz, will also attend.
