The second prisoner exchange between Israel and Hamas was initiated on the 3rd day of the 4-day ceasefire. According to the Red Cross, 13 Israeli and 4 Thai hostages of Hamas were released. Meanwhile, the Prisoners and Released Delegation affiliated with the Palestine Liberation Organization, stated that Israel released 39 Palestinian prisoners. According to WAFA, Palestine’s official news agency, there were 33 children and 6 women among the Palestinians released.
Hamas had announced that the second prisoner exchange would be postponed until Israel allowed aid trucks to enter the north of Gaza, and after a short delay, it was announced that the problems were resolved and the second stage was started.
