The second round of the early general elections, which will determine the members of parliament in Tunisia, has been started at 08:00 local time. A total of 262 candidates are independently vying to win the 131 seats left vacant in the opposition-controlled parliament, that was dissolved by President Kays Said in July 2021. A special election for seven constituencies, where no candidacy applications have been made for, is expected to be held in March. The voting will end at 18.00.
