Seoul Receives Heaviest Snowfall Since 1907: 2 Died

The Korea Meteorological Service announced that snowfall reached 18 centimeters in Seoul, the heaviest snowfall in the capital in November since records began in 1907.

One person died in a traffic accident involving five vehicles in Gangwon province due to heavy snowfall. In Yangju, one person who was clearing snow died when a garage collapsed.

The adverse weather conditions canceled 317 flights across the country, and caused traffic disruptions. Some homes were left without electricity as trees fell and power lines were damaged.

The Meteorological Service announced that snowfall will continue in most parts of the country until noon tomorrow.
