Trabzon, a city with historical and tourist attractions in Türkiye, is currently experiencing a quieter period as Arab tourists return home due to the start of the school year. In September, a popular spot called Sera Lake in Trabzon has seen fewer visitors compared to the busy summer months. The lake, formed after a landslide in 1950, is now a nature park and offers beautiful views and paddle boating.
Local businesses near Sera Lake have noticed a decline in tourists, especially from Arab countries. Mustafa Hatipoğlu, an employee at one of these businesses, explained that the tourism season usually runs from June to August, with fewer tourists in September. Arab tourists, in particular, like the region for its greenery and the sea. They often visit in the summer, ride pedal boats on the lake, and enjoy local food and drinks.
