Seven people are reported missing, including citizens from the UK, France, Ireland, New Zealand, and Sri Lanka. The incident occurred at sunrise as the 50-meter vessel encountered rough seas and a hurricane. Italian authorities have rescued 15 people, including a child, while divers from the fire department continue searching the waters around the sunken ship, which lies half a mile offshore at a depth of approximately 50 meters.
