Severe earthquake in Türkiye leads to building collapses, rising sea levels

Due to the 7.7 magnitude earthquake that occurred in Kahramanmaraş, buildings collapsed in many provinces in Türkiye and people died. The Iskenderun district of Hatay was among the most severely impacted areas. The sea level has started to rise in the coastal part of the district. A section of the road was flooded as the water level increased to about 200 meters from the shore.
