Severe Storms Hit Northeast Texas

Severe storms ravaged northeast Texas, with winds reaching 123 kilometers per hour. A young man lost his life in a construction site collapse during the weekend storm. Authorities reported a total of 24 fatalities across seven states, including Texas. Dallas faced severe flooding, with downed trees and power poles causing extensive power outages. Over 713,000 homes and businesses in Texas, Kentucky, and other states were left without electricity, with the Dallas-Fort Worth area being the hardest hit, experiencing over 397,000 outages.

Heavy rain and storms are forecasted for Oklahoma and Texas. Thunderstorms expected to impact eastern Montana, Wyoming, northeastern Colorado, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas today and tomorrow.
