Sheikh Muslihiddin Mosque in Kaynarca district of Sakarya province in Türkiye preserves its originality despite the many restorations the mosque has undergone over the past 537 years. Sheikh Muslihiddin of the Ahi organization constructed the mosque in 1486, and it was being used as a zawiyah at the time.
The mosque, which is decorated with imperial motifs and filled with logs between the beams, was built entirely of wood inside and out, covered with regular boards. The women’s chamber of the mosque, which has two entrances, is U-shaped and built on a rectangular plan.
